With this one flick, Jejjamma proved it isn’t a male-run industry anymore. Goosebumps is an understatement for the flick. This flick from 2009 took the box office by storm.
P.S. Anushka just made the entire Industry bow down to her awesomeness with this flick.
3. Vedam
The hunger to break the stereotype is what always kept Anushka going. Yet again, we have her portraying a prostitute, with a heart of gold in this flick.
P.S : Not to forget, she was having her career high when this script was doing rounds.
4. Naanna
She might not be the leading lady or the protagonist of the film to shine through. As a lawyer fighting for a father’s love for his daughter, she already made a statement.
5. Varna
You just can’t confine Anushka to this world, can you? Just when we thought she has tried everything, she comes with this out-of-the world subject. The result might just have damped the career graph of the actress, nevertheless it remains one of the bold attempts by the actress in breaking the stereotype.
6. Rudhramadevi
Only one question. Who else? Anushka looks perfect in the role of the warrior queen, and she has showed that very few can do it.
7. Baahubali
She’s done one hell of a role in this one, communicates her anger as the imprisoned Devasena only through her bloodshot eyes. To act in a de-glamorised role and to execute it to perfection…this is something only Sweety can do today!
8. Size Zero
With Size Zero…she proved unconventionality is her cup of tea(or a big glass of milkshake, in this case). Which other heroine in this day and age even dares to do something like this??
9. Baahubali 2
Nobody can ever forget her majestic performance as Devasana, The fearless queen. It is almost impossible to imagine anybody else in this role.
